Who can volunteer?

Anyone!

As a volunteer or student at Can-Voice you will fulfill an irreplaceable position among us.  No matter with which team you decide to offer your time, the skills you bring to us will be invaluable.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to:

Why Can-Voice?

Can-Voice is a safe and comfortable atmosphere where people with different views are welcome.  It is a place where people, whether member, volunteer or staff can openly discuss their lives and thoughts without ridicule.

What are the available positions?

The Can-Voice volunteer program is divided into teams:

  1. Connections: recruits and trains new members
  2. Public Awareness Team: Advertises Can-Voice to the community.
  3. Communications Team: Handles the newsletter and all publications to distribute information to members and staff.
  4. Office Co-ordinator Team: Manage office resources and keep office functioning.
  5. Member Activities Team : handle presentations from special guests and plan social gatherings.
  6. Property Management Team: physical repair and maintenance of the house and grounds.
  7. Kitchen Team: Manage kitchen use, Thursday lunches, and assist with social activities.
  8. Peer Support Team: Provide support for members in need.
  9. poster Delivery Team: delivers posters for paid wage.
  10. Acquisitions Team: com0letes purchases.
  11. Administration Team: assists with planning
