Some Can-Voice history:

Can-Voice was the idea of a London artist and consumer. First named Can-Do, Can-Voice originated as a project of the London and Middlesex Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association on January 21, 1990. Staff at CMHA assisted with the writing of a proposal which resulted in Can-Voice being funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health. Donations from The Ontario Trillium Foundation, as well as individuals, groups, businesses and other foundations make Can-Voice programs possible. Can-Voice is an incorporated nonprofit organization which currently offers a wide variety of different member activities and is still growing. Can-Voice is a registered charity and is able to issue tax receipts for your donation.
